In deze donkere dagen dacht ik dat het een goed idee was om met een licht thema naar jullie te komen. En wat is lichter dan de ochtend? Niet alleen door het gewicht van dit jaargetijde maar zeker ook door de gebeurtenissen van de voorbije weken heb ik zin gekregen in een goede dosis escapisme. Wat daar buiten gebeurt is zo verontrustend dat het mijn intellectuele capaciteiten ondermijnt. De gebeurtenissen verlammen me. Vraag me dan ook niet om iets vrolijks over de dageraad te schrijven. Om om het even wat over de dageraad te schrijven. De muziek zal zichzelf moeten verklaren, of helemaal niets verklaren, gewoon zichzelf zijn en opmonteren en troosten.
